TERMS & CONDTIONS OF YOUR STAY
For the purpose of the Terms of Letting, Longshore House shall mean the proprietors of Longshore House, John and Sam Wigley, and Visitor shall mean the person named on the booking form
A booking for the property becomes firm when a 50% deposit of the cost of the booking, together with a security deposit (held against breakages) and a completed booking form are received by Longshore House. Up to that time any booking is a provisional booking and will be held for a maximum of 7 days.
The full balance of the total holiday cost is payable not later than eight weeks before the holiday begins. If the full balance is not paid on time, Longshore House reserves the right to cancel the booking, in which case the deposit will be forfeited.
The reservation of the property amounts to entering into a contract. We advise that you should take out holiday cancellation insurance. The deposit is non-refundable and so is the final payment if cancellation is within 8 weeks of the holiday.
Visitor Accommodation Limitation:
Accommodation is limited to the number of persons for whom the booking is made. The maximum number must not exceed the number stated on the website. The Visitor may have supplementary guests staying as visitors but the Visitor should advise us in advance and the total numbers must not exceed the occupancy limit for the property stated on the website.
Where two or more parties join together to take a holiday, the booking should be made in one name only. That person (the Visitor) is responsible for all payments and any damage.
Personal injury and loss of visitor property:
The Visitor and members of his/her party cannot hold Longshore House responsible for injury sustained or the loss of or damage to any belongings during their stay at the property.
Longshore House and their agents reserve the right to enter the property at any reasonable time on reasonable cause.
The visitor undertakes to keep the premises and all the furniture, fixtures and effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the booking period (reasonable wear and tear excepted) and shall pay to Longshore House the value of any part of the premise, furniture fixtures, fittings and effects so destroyed or damaged as may be incapable of being restored to its previous condition. Breakages and damage should be reported as soon as possible.
Should there be any deficiency in the service provided within the property should be notified immediately and we will attempt to rectify the situation. However, Longshore House is not responsible or liable for any claims for a perceived inadequacy of service.
The property operates a no smoking policy. The premises are subject to the same legal restrictions as apply in an hotel and therefore it is illegal to smoke anywhere in the property.
Up to two dogs may be included in a booking and notice should be given on the booking form at the time of booking. There is no additional charge for one dog but a nominal addition is made for the second. Dogs must be restricted to the ground floor.
The Visitor and members of his/her party are asked to leave the accommodation clean and tidy. Longshore House reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if the accommodation is not left in a satisfactory condition.
